Alva Wilbanks
Celebration of Life Service for Alva Ottis Wilbanks, 86 is set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Chares Stephenson and Bro. Shane Evetts officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Grove Cemetery.
Alva died November 19, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born August 7, 1931 in Tippah Co. to the late Claude and Verni Wilbanks. He was a long time member of South Corinth Baptist Church, serving as deacon. He was retired from ACE Power after 36 years of service. He enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Wilbanks; parents, brothers Bobby, Howard, Virgil, Orville and Eugene Wilbanks.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Ollie Martin Wilbanks; daughter-in-law, Sarah Wilbanks; brother Gaylon (Willie) Wilbanks; sister Alma Miller, Capitola (Fred) Strickland; grandchildren Brent (Suzie) Wilbanks, Beth (Eric) Price, Brice (Anna) Wilbanks; great grandchildren, Jake Wilbanks, Slayden Price, Sawyer Price, Millie Wilbanks; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers, Brent Wilbanks, Brice Wilbanks, Eric Price, Greg Wilbanks, Randal Wilbanks, Jimmy Wilbanks.
Honorary pallbearer's, ACE Power employee past and present.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Wednesday from 1:00 to service time.
