Alvin H. Gross, O.D., optometric physician and longtime resident of Atlantic Beach, died June 3, 2012 at the age of 85. His parents, Moses and Fannie (Sussfeld) Gross and siblings, Bill and Beverly preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Swain Gross and stepchildren, Brian Swain of Washington D.C. and Lynne Swain of Atlantic Beach.
