Alvin M. Tucker, age 64, passed away peacefully at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA on March 28, 2014 with his family by his side. Alvin M. Tucker was born on September 10th, 1949 to the late Doris J. Joiner and John W. Rice in Columbus, Mississippi. Alvin joined the United States Army in 1969 where he served in the Vietnam War and Traveled to places like Korea. He proudly served for 24 years and retired as a Sergeant First Class as Ft. Lewis (WA) in 1993. Alvin M. Tucker, age 64, passed away peacefully at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA on March 28, 2014 with his family by his side.
Alvin M. Tucker was born on September 10th, 1949 to the late Doris J. Joiner and John W. Rice in Columbus, Mississippi. Alvin joined the United States Army in 1969 where he served in the Vietnam War and Traveled to places like Korea. He proudly served for 24 years and retired as a Sergeant First Class as Ft. Lewis (WA) in 1993.
Alvin is survived by his wife Yong Ae Tucker along with his five children Alvino Tucker, Dionn (Jennifer) Tucker, Barbara (Brandon) Espinosa, TJ Tucker, Mathew Tucker and his loving grandchildren Xavier Espinosa, Marcellus Espinosa, Trinity Tucker, Gabi Tucker and his great grandchild Madi Denham; his adopted sons William (Angela) Shaw and Toby Woods all of Olympia, Washington.
Alvin is also survived by his two aunts, Adrienne Capers of Columbus, MS, and Elsie Richardson of Detroit, MI. Two sisters Evelyn Beck of Columbus, MS, Angela (Kenneth) Williams of Riverdale, GA; two brothers Michael Tucker of Jonesboro, GA and Gerald (Valerie Clark) Lee; his nieces, Teloria Hill of Columbus, MS, Latoya Tucker and Kandace Williams of Atlanta, GA; Vikaya and Victoria Lee of Robins Warner, GA; three nephews Mathew Hill Jr. of Columbus, MS, Alan B. Beck of Indianapolis, IN and Miko Antiwan Tucker of Los Angeles, CA; great nephew Cameron Rentz of Col, MS.
He will be missed by his extended and honorary brother Victor Hackney of Tacoma, WA, Ira Farmer and Ed Lamar of Lacey, WA.
Alvin will be remembered as a very caring, generous, supportive person. He has touched many lives in the Olympia area. He will truly be missed.
