I met Amador briefly in Comanche when he, David and Sandra stopped on their way back to SA. But one of my fondest memories is when Gene and I first came to SA after we got married he met us and took us to dinner at the Little Red Barn and then he told us all the special things we could do during Fiesta Week.
He always welcomed us with open arms and a warm heart. He will be truly missed but I know he is with David talking about baseball.
Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the service. But our prayers are with the family. Love, Gene, Pat and Katherine Abbey

A serious oversight was made when we proof read the obituary. Sandra V. Aguilar, our daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, was left off of it. Sandra was David's (our son and brother) wife for 34 years. She took care of him, especially when diagnosed with and battling cancer for the last three years of his life. We are proud to call her daughter and sister. Our sincerest apologies go to her and her family for this omission.

I remember Mr. Aguilar as a man dedicated to all that he did. My fondest memories are of him always being at the ballpark, supporting his Son David, but also the team as a whole. I always greeted him with the respect he deserved, we would talk a little about our opponent, how he was feeling, and if he could stay for a beer after the game.....and he would! What a great man we have lost. You will be missed. R.I.P. Mr. Aguilar.

I knew Lt. Aguilar in the early 70s and up until his retirement. I remember him as a quiet, likeable man, who was very dedicated to his duties with the Sheriff's Office. Our condolences go out to the family. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
