Amancio B. Cabral, age 78, of New Bedford, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 in St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Ana M. (Tavares) Cabral.
Born in Azores, Portugal, he immigrated to the United States in 1968 and has been a resident of New Bedford. He was employed as a Laborer for Local 385 in Fairhaven before his retirement in 2001.
He is survived by his son Michael Cabral and his wife Elizabeth of New Bedford and a daughter Elizabeth Pytka of E. Providence.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10AM in St. Francis Xavier Parish 125 Main St., Acushnet. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Lighthouse Animal Shelter, 596 Hathaway Rd., New Bedford, MA 02740.
