Obituary

Amelia Joyce Baker was born on April 8, 1926 in Fresno, California to Edmundo and LuLu Sasselli. She died in Visalia, California, on November 16, 2012. One day Joyce was introduced to a local cowboy as he tried to buy a bull from her father. Some say that Milton Baker left that day with much more than he bargained for. Milton and Joyce were married on April 6, 1946 and raised their two children Darlene and Ronnie at the Bar B Baker Ranch in Elderwood. Joyce lived a busy life. Many of you will remember her as the feisty bus driver who ruled her bus with an iron fist and many packs of gum. Others will remember her and Milton as active...

Others will remember her and Milton as active members of Woodlake High school athletics, selling tickets at football and basketball games, or from her Rodeo Days working the Lady Lions Booth. Still others will remember her generosity and the countless hours she spent crocheting blankets for family and friends of all ages.
