Amelia "Millie" Correia, 90, of Somerset, daughter of the late Diamantina and Antone Morgado, beloved wife of Daniel P. Correia for 65 years died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Anne's Hospital on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.
Born in Fall River, she resided in Somerset. She worked as a sample maker for Beacon Garment. Upon retiring, she enjoyed sewing from home using her sewing skills to the delight of many.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Carol A. Johnson; her son Paul and his wife Leslie; four grandchildren; Beth Cambra and her husband Billy, Karen Ferreira and her husband Darrell, Heather Correia and her fiancé Matt Silva and Jaime Correia. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren she so loved and enjoyed; Jacob, Brynn, Gavin, Jack and David. She had many nieces and nephews with whom she was very close and she much loved as well as the many wonderful friends she came to know.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 8:00am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME of MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County Street, Somerset followed by a funeral mass at 9:00am in St. Patrick's Church, 306 South Street, Somerset. Family and friends invited. Calling hours will be Sunday 4 to 7pm.
