America R. (Loureiro) Perneta, 94, of Enfield, formerly of Suffield and East Hartford, died Tuesday April 1, 2014. She was born in Espinhal, Coimbra, Portugal, a daughter of the late Manuel and Barbara (Ramos) Loureiro and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in East Hartford. Her husband Antonio G. Perneta and her daughter Bela Perneta predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Perneta of Enfield, her sister Lourdes Pina of Marlborough, her nieces Grace Rizza and Mary Gaspar and her nephews Carlos, Joe and Tino Pina. Funeral services will be Monday April 7th, 9AM from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial, 10AM at St. Mary's Church, both in East Hartford. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Manchester.
