Amor Fran Farala, devoted father and husband, passed away on July 16, 2014. He was born in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines, on July 31, 2959 to Pete and Filipina Farala and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. After completing his Bachelor's Degree of Merchant Marines in Manila, he worked as a seaman and Merchant Marine and almost traveled all over the world. He moved to the United States in 1987 to join his family and pursue his American dream and settled in Oxnard, linking in the same home for over twenty years. Amor Fran Farala, devoted father and husband, passed away on July 16, 2014.

He was born in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines, on July 31, 2959 to Pete and Filipina Farala and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

After completing his Bachelor's Degree of Merchant Marines in Manila, he worked as a seaman and Merchant Marine and almost traveled all over the world. He moved to the United States in 1987 to join his family and pursue his American dream and settled in Oxnard, linking in the same home for over twenty years. He was most recently employed as a machinist for Coors Tek, formerly Gaiser Tools.

Amor had a number of hobbies and interests. He loved cars and attending car shows. He was also a nature lover and enjoyed visiting new places and watching nature shows on the National Geographic Channel. He also greatly enjoyed gardening, drawing, painting and landscaping his home. His loving wife, Erlinda, recalls fondly his love of singing.

Those who knew Amor remember that he was an incredibly happy, joyful person to be around and always had a smile on his face that could light up a room. He greeted everyone as if he were a politician, jokes Erlinda. A devoted family man, Amor supported his family's pursuit of education. He never with held his love and gave his life for his loved ones.

Amor will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Erlinda Farala and their two daughters, Starsha and Kaysha; his parents, Petronilo and Filipina Farala; his siblings, Peter Farala, Tessie Farala Feria, Georgia Farala, Vic Farala, and Gina Farala; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends. he was preceded in death by his sister, Josie Farala Farin.

Amor Farala, we will miss you. We are so proud to be your family, and you will always be our Superman.

Visitation will be held from 2 pm - 9 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2014 with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm in the Chapel at FDA Conrad's Mortuary visitation will continue on Friday August 1, 2014 from 2pm - 9 pm at Conrad's Mortuary Chapel, 401 W. Channel Isl. Blvd., Oxnard, Ca 93033 (805)487-4911. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Mary Star of The Sea Catholic Church, Oxnard. Mr. Farala will be laid to rest at Santa Clara Cemetery, located at 2370 North H Street, Oxnard.
