Amos M. Zimmerman, 88, formerly of Schaefferstown, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata, PA. He was the husband of Marian Z. Zimmerman Weaver Zimmerman of Ephrata, PA and the late Ada B. Sensenig Zimmerman. He was born in Earl Township, Lancaster County on August 26, 1928, a son of the late George N. and Mary Ella Martin Zimmerman. Amos was a retired farmer and excavator. He was a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference and volunteered as an EMT for 25 years with Schaefferstown Ambulance Association. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Earl S. Zimmerman (Ruth Hoover), Fairfax, VA; Cynthia S. Zimmerman (LeRoy Zimmerman), Lititz, PA; George S. Zimmerman (Margaret Martin), Lakewood Ranch, FL; Leon S. Zimmerman (Donna Bennetch), Lititz, PA; Lester S. Zimmerman (Marian Hoover), Myerstown, PA; Jane L. Zimmerman (Warren Zimmerman), Denver, PA; Ann M. Martin (Leland Martin), Lititz, PA; 30 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; step children, Clair Weaver; Marie (I. Mark Nolt); Julia (Eric Deppen); Pearl (Curtis Hoover); Phyllis (John Fry); Steven Weaver; siblings, Anna Lauver, Ephrata; Ammon Zimmerman, New Holland; Abram Zimmerman of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by siblings, Martha Weaver, John N. M. Zimmerman, Mary Ann Martin, Paul Zimmerman, Esther Zimmerman, Titus Zimmerman. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10 am in Pequea Mennonite Church, 4121 Red Well Road, Gordonville, PA. Burial in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fairview Mennonite Reception Center. 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, PA. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS.
