Biography

Anabel B. Newhouse, 51, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at 9:15 am at St. Rose Siena Hospital. She was born Annabelle Briones on October 10, 1961 in Batangas City, Philippines. She honorably served 11 years in the Air Force as an Administrative Specialist ending her military career in 1991 with Headquarters SAC Intelligence in Omaha, Nebraska. Soon after her military service, she began working at the Federal Reserve Bank in Omaha, and then moved to Las Vegas to be closer to family. Anabel began working as a Human Resource Clerk; assisted in the grand opening of the Stratosphere; worked her way up as an Employment Director; and then worked as a Compensation Manager at South Point. She was preceded in death by her biological parents, Ernesto Briones and Marcelina Andal Briones; adopted parent, Michael Russel; and sister Myla Balmes. She is survived by her husband, Brad Newhouse of 30 years; children, Christopher Newhouse (28) and Kevin Newhouse (23); granddaughter, Gianna Newhouse (2); Goddaughter, Stevye Lynn; adopted parent, Manuela Russel; siblings, Rosalie Gutierrez, Robert Russel and Gigi Frost; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Anabel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered most for her immense love, support and dedication to her family and friends here in America and abroad. Friends are invited to join her family in the celebration of her life on February 21, 2013 at 4pm at the Palm Mortuary located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in her honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
