Anastasia "Tasi" Jones, 83, of Sacramento passed away on Monday, Oct 10, peacefully and surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Krissy and beloved grandsons Gavin and Griffin Green, 2 sisters Bessie Pothos and Mary Vasos, whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Kapandritis, her daughter Jessica Jones, and husband Ronn Schlenker. She was a first generation Greek-American who cherished her heritage and the many festivities she participated in with them. Tasi was a graduate of McClatchy High School and Baylor University. She spent her professional career teacher kingergarten and was deeply loved by all. The loves of her life were her daughters and 2 grandsons and the many relationships she had with her childhood friends. She will be truly missed by so many people and there won't be a day we don't miss her. We love you Tasi, the best Mom and Yiayia in the world. She is also survived by her 6 nieces and nephews whom she cherished as well as their many beloved children.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Thursday, October 13 at 10:00am at Saint Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 9165 Peets Drive in Elk Grove. Luncheon immediately to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Association, Greater Sacramento Chapter.
