Anastasia Barry left this earthly life at the age of 89, and entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 2, 2013.

Anastasia Elizabeth Miles Barry was born in Philadelphia, November 16, 1924. She married Jean Edward Barry in April of 1948. Together in 1950, they moved to Hawthorne, California to start a new life in a state of opportunities and to raise their family. While our dad worked in his crane/construction business, mom took care of the home front. She and our father raised 6 kids together. In 1973, Jean and Anastasia moved to Twin Falls, Idaho to start a new chapter in life once again. They owned and operated Taylor Rental on Washington Street from 1973 until 1985 when they changed over to a fully owned and operated business as The Rental Place. In 1989, they turned over the business to son Andrew and eventually moved to their present location on Addison Avenue West in the name of Barry Rental. Both enjoyed working in the family business until health issues forced them into retirement. Stasia was very proud that the family business she and Dad started is being carried on, and now with the third generation in training. Jean and Stasia were married for 48 years; Jean passed away in May 1996.

Mom and Dad were faithful lifelong Catholics and members of the St. Edward's Catholic Church. Mom especially enjoyed serving at the annual banquets and parish meals held at the church. Mom was a prominent presence at Barry Rental for many years, and loved her role in customer service, to the point of learning a new computer system at the age of 80! A true lover of people, she extended a warm and enthusiastic greeting to family, friends, acquaintances, and customers alike. Surviving are her six children, Jeanie Robertson, Sharon Slaughter (Ken), Mary Nelson, Anastasia Allen (Todd), James Barry (Joni), and Andrew Barry (Susan); and a sister Grace Hill of New Jersey. A zillion grandkiddies (19) and great-grandkiddies (12) are left behind too.

Excelling in her role as grandma, she loved to play with her "kiddies" -- telling them stories, and attending all sorts of school events as their biggest fan. She was warm, social, had an endearing habit of calling all of us a plethora of pet names, enjoyed a good joke, loved to laugh, and never missed a family vacation or get together! See's candy, clam chowder, her own extraordinary potato salad and perfume were staples in her life. She loved every job she ever had, and liked to tell stories of her days as a telephone operator back in the day! Having lived a full life, she leaves behind a legacy of love and many happy memories for her family to recall. She was a fighter and an over comer in life. We are very grateful for her special caregiver Paula Thompson these past 2 years. We give thanks to the Lord for having had Mom a part of our lives for as long as she was.
