Andre A. "Duke" Duclos, 75, of Manchester, died April 24, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on November 16, 1938 the son of Emile and Cecile (Houle) Duclos and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He grew up in Manchester and was educated at St. Anthony Grammar School and High School class of 1955 where he starred as an All-State tight end on the football team. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and proudly served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Andre A. "Duke" Duclos, 75, of Manchester, died April 24, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on November 16, 1938 the son of Emile and Cecile (Houle) Duclos and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He grew up in Manchester and was educated at St. Anthony Grammar School and High School class of 1955 where he starred as an All-State tight end on the football team.

He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and proudly served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was self-employed as a dental technician but his true passion was that of a horseman and he was the owner and operator of "Duke Haven's Riding Stables" in Candia for over 10 years. "Duke" was also a member of the Horse Show Association at the Deerfield Fair from 1955 to 1989. He was an ardent New England sports fan and enjoyed the time he spent coaching Colt League Baseball in Manchester.

Members of his family include his daughter Louise Grijalva and Anthony of Fayetteville, NC, his three sons Marc Duclos and Naomi of Deerfield, Paul Duclos and Richard Duclos and Donna all of Manchester, his 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, his foster son Daniel, his step-daughter Vickey, his two sisters Lucille Poisson and her husband Norman of Andover, MA and Pauline Albert and her husband Murph of Bow, his three brothers Gerard Duclos and his wife Denise of Rochester, Robert Duclos and his wife Anne of Bedford and Roger Duclos of Manchester. He is also survived by his former wives Claire Duclos of Manchester and Jeannette Duclos of Somerswoth as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his partner Anita Martinez.

There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a Committal Service was held on Wednesday April 30 at 10AM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen. The family entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home in Manchester with his care.
