ANDREW WILLIAM ALBERT BELLENOT

On February 24, 2014, Andrew (André) William Albert Bellenot, age 92, a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully into eternal rest while at home in Redding with his son Ronald by his side. Andrew was born on July 8, 1921 in London, England to the late André Guilliam Bellenot and Eugénie Alida Van Camp.

Andrew is the husband, best friend, and eternal sweetheart to his loving wife, the late Dorothy Maude Chambers Bellenot, married for 69 years. He is the father of the late David Alan Bellenot, Susan Eugenie Bellenot Lebert (late husband Francis Lebert), Carol Ann Bellenot Davis (husband Richard Davis), Ronald Kevin Bellenot (wife Mary Jane Kowalski Bellenot), and Heather Marie Bellenot Corrado (husband John Richard Corrado).

Andrew is the grandfather of Laura Beth Bennett, Paige Heather Hendrix (husband Johnathan Hendrix), Ronald Kevin Bellenot, Jr., Kevin Andrew Bellenot, Steven Michael Bellenot, Margaret Susan Kubik Morazzini (husband Michael Morazzini), and Kathryn Elizabeth Kubik (companion Mark Delcavo). He is the great grandfather of Finley Imajean Bennett, Andrew William Bennett, Samantha Rayne Hendrix, Emma Marie Hendrix, Alayna Lyn Hendrix, and baby Morazzini (due to arrive June 2014).

Andrew was resilient, multilingual, intelligent and always a gentleman and professional. He showed respect to all and was highly respected by family, friends and business associates. He loved nothing more than travelling with his wife Dorothy and spending time with his family.

Andrew is a WWII Veteran and served in the Royal Air Force, England. While in Canada for military training, he met and married his sweetheart, soul mate, and best friend for life, Dorothy Maude Chambers who is also a WWII Veteran, serving in the Canadian Women's Army Corps.

The family would like to give special thanks to his son, Ronald and daughter-in-law, Mary Jane, who passionately and lovingly cared for Andrew and Dorothy in their home, and to all of the health aides and nurses, especially Pam M., Paul Michelle M., Sandra M., and Marilin R. for their hours of support and care.

A mass and memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, CT. In lieu of flowers, discretionary contributions may be made in his name to the Salvation Army.
