Andrew "Jack" Goerge, 65, of Harrisburg passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, in Community General Osteopathic Hospital. Born January 15, 1949, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son o the late Eli George. Jack was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from the Commonwealth of PA, Dept of Transportation. He was a 1970 graduate of Shippensburg University and enjoyed working with computers and sports, especially the Baltimore Orioles. Andrew "Jack" Goerge, 65, of Harrisburg passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, in Community General Osteopathic Hospital. Born January 15, 1949, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son o the late Eli George.

Jack was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from the Commonwealth of PA, Dept of Transportation. He was a 1970 graduate of Shippensburg University and enjoyed working with computers and sports, especially the Baltimore Orioles.

Jack's real love was that for his best friend and soul mate of 43 years, Debra D. (Bowen) George. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Doris (Harr) Croft, of Harrisburg; three brothers, Gary D. George and his wife Lillian, of Newark, DE, Thomas G. George and his wife, Rhonda, of Harrisburg, and Jeffrey A. George and his wife, Ruth, of Dover. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eli S. George.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 11:00 am, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, with a visistion from 10:00 am, until the time of service. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111, or Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
