We were so sorry to hear about the death of your missionary son. It really hit close to home as we too are parents of a missionary. We can only imagine the heartache you and your family are going through. Our son is currently serving a mission in your stake in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has only been there a short time but wrote home yesterday about the sweet and tender experience he and the other missionaries had at your son's funeral. He told us how cool of an experience it was to all sing Called to Serve and then how they got to walk by Elder Page's casket and touch it. It made a lasting impact on our son. What a special experience for him to be a part of. We pray that you will be given the peace and comfort you need at this difficult time. Love, Cathy and Jeff Ipsen

My heart cannot express the sadness I feel for your family. My son, also named Andrew, died the same way about a year ago. The grief is fresh and the similarities are great as he too had a solid and loving relationship with our Lord. May your love and faith bring you through this incredibly sad and difficult journey. Peace to you. BC, Charlotte

Dear Maggie,
I am so sorry to learn that you have joined this unwelcome band of mothers who have lost teenaged children in traffic accidents. My daughter was just a month shy of her 19th birthday when I became a member. She would have been 53 this year.
You and I know each other through the hearing aids you fitted me with several years ago. I remember fondly your kind patience and caring concern and can't help but see your loving parenting skills in descriptions of Andrew.
My prayer for you is that friends and family will help to keep his memory alive through story telling and fond remembrances. I hope it helps to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
fondly,
Linda Freeman
