Andy Russell Ratliff, age 96 of Dayton, a long-time resident of Trinity Community, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Trinity. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Ratliff in 2016. He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Jones and husband Jerry, a son, Neal Ratliff and wife Sharon, and six grandchildren: Greg (Ronda), Doug (Melanie), Jason, Justin, Joshua (Megan) and Marissa. Five great grandchildren also survive him: Peyton, Wyatt, Avery, Camden and Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A US Army veteran of World War II, Andy was a member of Dayton Pentecostal Church of God and retired from Frigidaire in 1969 after more than 20 years of service. He was also a Pentecostal minister, preaching the word of God. His family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Trinity Community for the compassionate care they provided for Andy for the last several years. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 with Rev. Jon Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens following the funeral.
