Celebration of Life Services for Angela Ann Mosley Grooms, age 42, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday September 2, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Haughton, LA with Dr. Gevan Spinney officiating. Assisted by Dr. Scott Sullivan. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5-7 pm at First Baptist Church Haughton.
Angela was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grand-daughter. She was a friend to many and will be missed by all that knew her. She was always available to listen and share her thoughts in a friendly conversation. She enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, sewing, T-shirt designing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. A loyal and dedicated mother of the 4-H programs, she was always willing to assist and help with the children's show projects.
Angela was originally of the Catholic faith, but was currently an active member of First Baptist Church Haughton. She enjoyed traveling and the many trips taken with Shawn and the boys to Kentucky. One of her most exciting and memorable trips was in 2017 to attend a baseball game of her favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Brad and Lorine Mosley; maternal grandmother, Sarah LoBue Bates; mother-in-law, Evelene Grooms; and aunt, Pat Hemphill.
Angela is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, James Shawn Grooms of Haughton; cherished sons, Austin and Wyatt Grooms of Haughton; parents, Tommy and Gloria Mosley of Gloster; father-in-law, Steve Grooms of Cotton Valley; grandfather, John LoBue and friend, Marie Rutledge of Bossier City; grandparents, Leroy and Pat Grooms of Cotton Valley; brother, Tommy Mosley, Jr and wife, Gigi of Keatchie; sister-in law, Dodie Carter and husband, Jim of Cotton Valley; nephews, Troy Mosley of Keatchie and Jacob Carter of Cotton Valley; and numerous other family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Cole, Daryl Adcock, Larry Small, Todd Gibson, Jay Williams, and Maurice "Mo" Whitten
Honorary pallbearers will be Van J. Guarino, Steven Shankle, Denny Denison and the Lord-Small Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Haughton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Angela's honor to the Cancer Center of Willis Knighton North, Shreveport.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. McDonald and his staff and Dr. Morrison and staff of Willis Knighton North and MD Anderson, Houston.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". Isaiah 40:31

My heart is heavy. She was o special. I loved getting to talk with her when she came into Albertsons. All of us in the pharmacy are going to miss her. Angela gave me advice to pass on to a friend when she was first diagnosed. I will never forget her positive outlook and her sweet spirit.

So sorry for the loss of Angela; wife, mom, daughter, and friend. We will miss her precious smile and sweet personality. It won't be the same , without her coming by during the summer to get her fresh tomatoes from our garden, and her doing my embroidery for me. We will miss her. God Bless all of you, her family. God holds you in His hands.
