Biography

Angelica M. Elizardo left the bounds of this earth on Saturday, October 22, 2011, in Woodsboro, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 1, 1950, in Taft, Texas, to Alfredo and Maria Maldonado. Angie was a loving mother, devoted wife and she adored and loved her grandchildren. She loved having all her kids together especially during the holidays. She will always be remembered by how hard she loved and how hard she fought. Angie would, with a smile, give of herself during a time of need and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She was the rock to her family and the anchor that kept it in place. She was loved dearly and will be missed to no end. Angie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Abel Maldonado; sister, Audelia Arriaga; sons, Ruben and Enrique Elizardo; and grandson, Jeremiah Reyes. She is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Ruben Elizardo of Woodsboro; sons, Calistro Elizardo (Erika Cruz) of Ingleside, Texas, and Adam Valdez (Trini Guerrero) of Refugio, Texas; daughters: Nancy (Nazario) Cruz of Corpus Christi, Texas, Irene (Tomas) Reyes of Tomball, Texas, Elizabeth (Juan) Gonzalez of Woodsboro; daughter-in-law, Elisa Elizardo of Corpus Christi; brothers, Alfredo Maldonado, Jr. of Hillsboro, Oregon and Abelardo Maldonado of Beaumont, Texas; sisters: Alejandra Cisneros, Armandina Valdez and Alva Zuniga all of Woodsboro; twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
