Angeline M. Decker, "Granny", age 95, of Watkins Glen, New York peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY.

Angeline was born in Burdett, NY on February 22, 1917, the daughter of the late, Michael and Rose (Favella) Valeant. Granny will be remembered for her love of her family and her baking. She was an active communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles, sisters, Mary and Delores and her brother, Joseph.

Granny is survived by her son, Richard (Kathleen) Decker, daughter, Peggy (Don) Blandino; grandchildren, Richard (Karen) Decker Jr., Bob Decker, Steven (Catrina) Decker, Paul (Michelle) Blandino, David (Cristy) Blandino, and Brian Blandino; great grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Gabriella, and Ella Decker, Anthony, Jesse, and Angelina Blandino; nephew and niece, Joe Valeant and Beverly Borders, and several great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, January 14th at Haughey-Wood Funeral Home, 119 Fifth St., Watkins Glen, NY. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15th at 10 am at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 905 Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watkins Glen, NY. Memorials may be made in Granny's name to St. Mary's of the Lake Church, PO Box 289, Watkins Glen, NY 14891.

One word comes to my mind when I used to hear the word "Granny"...fresh warm baked cookies!!! Many many hours were spent at her house when Richie and I were growing up...watching basketball, borrowing her car, or just stopping in for the AWSOME food, and to say HI...Thanks for the memories Granny...what a generous, thoughtful lady!!
