ANGELINE DELLA HEGREBERG
10/23/1916-10/2/2012
Angeline Hegreberg was born on October 23, 1916 in rural Burlington, North Dakota, to Henry and Laura Buee and passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in Merced, California at the age of 95.
Angie was the second youngest of seven children and graduated from Burlington High School in 1933. In June of 1934, Angie married Clifford Hegreberg and together they had three children. In addition to working on their family farm, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the community homemakers association, and a long-time 4-H leader.
Angie enjoyed outdoor activities, especially gardening. She was known for her large garden and grew a vast variety of fruits and vegetables. Her hard work and green thumb won her many awards at the local county fair. When she wasn't gardening she could be found canning, sewing, or baking.
In 1974, following the sudden death of her husband, Angie moved to Merced, California to be near her daughter, Judy. In Merced, she built a wonderful community of friends through the Merced Senior Citizen Club and traveled on various trips around the world. Angie was also an avid walker and spent each morning walking her favorite four-mile loop with friends.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hegreberg, and son, Dennis Hegreberg.
Angie leaves behind her son, Gerald (Lynetta) Hegreberg of West Lafayette, Indiana; daughter, Judith (Richard) Marchini; her grandchildren, Amie, Sara, Rick, and Laura and great-granddaughter, Hallie.
She will be remembered as a hard-working, loving mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Mercy Medical Center Foundation, 2740 M Street Merced, CA 95340.
Services will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street Merced, CA on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Merced Cemetery District.

My mother,Velma Hilsen, was very sad to hear of Angie's passing, but has some very fond memories of the times they had together, on their morning walks and coffee every morning @ the mall, plus, breakfast on Sundays @ Paul's. Mom just found out a few days ago of Angie's passing and wants to give her love and condolences to Angie's family.
