Ann Beatrice Standerfer Jay, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, died and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Ann was born on July 24, 1926 in McKinney Texas. She was the daughter of Armpy and Margaret Standerfer. She is survived by her sons Tommy Wheeler Jr., Leonard Newman Jr., and Mark Crockett; by her daughter Jeanette Wheeler; by her sister Betty Sue Dowden; and her brother Jerry Standerfer. She is the grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Anita Clayton and David Crockett. Ann loved to go fishing. She was a member of a scrapbooking club and won several ribbons at the Titus County Fair. Ann loved to sew and would make most of her own clothing using her own labels. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed family gatherings. She was very quick witted and loved to laugh. Ann will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
