Ann Quarles Allen, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2011.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, she was a long time resident of Greenville, South Carolina.

Mrs. Allen was the widow of Postell Allen, Sr. and was predeceased by a daughter, Emily Shockley.

Surviving is one daughter; Mary McDowell and husband Jack of Greenwood, S.C.; and two sons: J. Milton Allen and wife Carol of Taylors, S.C., Postell Allen and wife Pansy of Anderson, S.C.; 12 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday, October 31, 2011 from 12:00-2:00 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with service to follow in the Chapel. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. 301 University Ridge, Greenville, S.C 29601.
