ORLEANS- Ann T Kearns, 89, passed away on February 14, 2017 from congestive heart failure. She was born in Worcester, MA on October 15, 1927, the second daughter and fourth child of the late James Wall and Eileen (Flannery) Wall. She was the sister of Mary Rose Sullivan, John Wall, and Mortimer Wall, all deceased. She is survived by her loving daughters, Maureen Johngren (Carl), Jeanellen Newell, Christine Hoffman, and Annemarie Denton (William) and her loving grandson Andrew Newell (Davia), and her loving step grandson Dana Johngren (Rachel) and his three wonderful children. She is also survived by a much loved niece Eileen Levine...

She was born in Worcester, MA on October 15, 1927, the second daughter and fourth child of the late James Wall and Eileen (Flannery) Wall. She was the sister of Mary Rose Sullivan, John Wall, and Mortimer Wall, all deceased. She is survived by her loving daughters, Maureen Johngren (Carl), Jeanellen Newell, Christine Hoffman, and Annemarie Denton (William) and her loving grandson Andrew Newell (Davia), and her loving step grandson Dana Johngren (Rachel) and his three wonderful children. She is also survived by a much loved niece Eileen Levine (Ron) and her family, and much loved nephew Paul Sullivan (Marsha). Ann grew up in Springfield Ma., where she met her first husband George J Lohan (deceased). After George's untimely death in 1963, Ann and her young daughters moved to Orleans. Ann retired from Orleans Elementary School in 1984 and was still fondly known as Mrs. Lohan to many former students. She married Edward R. Kearns in 1985. They had many wonderful years' together, spending winters in Florida, golfing, biking, and enjoying the beach. After Ed's death, Ann enjoying traveling with her friends, attending the symphony, the opera and dining out. Ann's life was enriched by her many friends but especially Mary Anthony of Eastham, and the wonderful ladies of the St Joan of Arc Thrift shop where she volunteered one day a week until 2015. She loved to needlepoint and left many beautiful pieces to be enjoyed by her daughters. Ann loved living at Rock Harbor Village and had many friends there, especially the Rummy Cube Group. She loved Cape Cod, walking on the beach or sitting watching the ocean gave Ann great joy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastham Council on aging, 1405 Nauset Rd, North Eastham, Ma or the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod. A memorial service will be held on March 4, 2017 at 11AM at ST. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans Ma. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com
