Born to Joseph and Pauline Kobal on October 18, 1935, at 11:46 a.m., Ann was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area and a lifelong fan of her beloved Chicago Cubs. A devoted woman of faith, Ann was raised in St. Stephen's Parish in the city's Little Village neighborhood, and raised her children in St. Frances of Rome Parish in Cicero. After graduating from Mundelein College Ann began a teaching career of over half a century, a career which saw her bringing her love for children's education to grade schools, high schools, military academies and special education foundations. Additional service to the children of Chicago was seen through her long involvement with the Girl Scouts, CYO Cheerleading and other youth sports organizations, and as a sitting member of the School Board of the Chicago Archdiocese

In lieu of sending flowers the family requests that children's books be brought to the visitation and service for donation to the Cicero Public Library and St. Frances of Rome Grade School, or that monetary donations be made directly to St. Jude. Donate By Phone: 800-805-5856 or at www.stjude.org
