Anna "Ann" K. Coneybeer, 83 of Jefferson, died Friday, August 11, 2017 in Washington Hospital, Washington, PA.
She was born August 18, 1933 in Coal Center, a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Volk Coneybeer.
Ann was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson High School and was Methodist by faith.
She had worked at Bishoff Creamery and Canned Dairy Products, Inc. in Waynesburg for over thirty years and retired in 1987. She was President of the company at the time of her retirement.
Ann was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #954, Filer-Sadlek Post, Jefferson, for 54 years. She was an active member having served in all major offices of Unit 954 and was presented with a Gold Life Membership in 1975.
She has served in many positions of the Unit, Council, District and Department offices in the region of Greene, Washington and Fayette counties, as well as, Western Vice President 1988-1989 and Department President 2003-2004.
Surviving is her longtime friend, caregiver and companion, Shirley Boord; a brother, Bernard "Barney" Coneybeer and his wife Francis of Jefferson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends from the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Pennsylvania.
Deceased are three brothers, William Coneybeer, Robert Coneybeer and George Coneybeer; a sister, Margaretta Coneybeer.
Friends will be received from 3:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 14, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Vann Walchock officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. An American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Service will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017. My Aunt was a wonderful person. She always had time for the mob of nieces and nephews when we were young. Her car would be stuffed top to bottom with kids as she took us to the drive-in movie, or for ice cream! Everyone has great memories and will will sincerely miss her
