Anna Mae Adams
Born April 28, 1928 to Mike and Francis (Foster) Columbus in Mystic Iowa.
She passed away May 11, 2017. She worked as a nurse aid as a teenager,
and a welder's helper during the war. She met and married Oliver Edwards
Adams on Feb.21, 1944. Anna and Oliver renewed their vows on July 29, 1946
in Rock Island, IL when Oliver returned home from the Service. From that
Union was born 2 sons, Michael and Larry, and daughter Jolinda. She moved
to Auburn Ca. in 1948 and Roseville Ca. in 1956. Anna was a homemaker and
took pride in caring for her family and home. She worked seasonal work in the
tomato fields for a few years when her children were growing up. She returned
to school and got her GED in 1967. Anna enjoyed family outings, barbeques,
and spending time with grandkids and family. Anna was proceeded in death
by her parents, Brothers Richard and Joe, Sister Bethel (Harvey) Spies, Brother
in-laws Allen Pearrow and Jim Lambert. Anna is survived by her children Mike
of Citrus Heights, Ca. Larry (Linda) Adams of Stanley, ND, daughter Jolinda (Rick)
Southerland of Roseville Ca. Grandchildren Michael, Christy, Ron, Jeannie, Austin,
Cody Sheri, James, Jamie, Jimmy, and Mike. 17 great grandchildren, 3 sisters
Josephine (Duane) Curtis of Mystic, Iowa, Velma (Ron) Houser, of Longview, TX,
Bernice Lambert and Theresa Pearrow of Arkoma, OK. And numerous nieces and
nephews. Anna will be greatly missed by friends and family.
