Anna (Goff) Danielson, 100, a resident at the Adams House, who was formerly of Somerset, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was the widow of Charles R. Danielson.
Anna was born in Fall River, and was a daughter of the late Walter A. and Anne (Finucane) Goff. She was a graduate of the Dominican Academy and Boston University. She received a masters degree in guidance and counseling from Rhode Island College. Anna was a guidance counselor at Somerset High School and retired in 1978.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Church and was active in its retiree's club. Anna served as past president of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary educators' society, and also a past president of BCRTA. She was a former Board Member of People Incorporated and the Home for the Aged. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by four daughters; Ann Prescott of Somerset, Paula Baker of Chelsea, AL, Linda Crump of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Joan Kaminski of Red Fox, KY, four grandchildren; Rob, Melissa, David and Chris; six great-grandchildren; Kyle, Zack, Ben, Brandon, Boone, and Elizabeth. Anna is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was grandmother of the late Caroline Earle, sister of the late Walter Goff, and sister-in-law of the late Russell Danielson.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to CSF of Fall River- Dollars for Scholars, P.O. Box 103, Fall River, MA 02722. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.

My sympathies to Mrs. Danielson's family. From 1970-1971, I was the president of the FTA. I have wonderful memories of working and talking with Mrs. Danielson. She was a treasure. May she rest in peace.
