Mom's favorite TV shows included The Price Is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Maury, The Young & The Restless, Chopped, Project Runway, Celebrity Apprentice, Four Weddings, Dancing With The Stars, and Say Yes To The Dress.
She loved watching movies and these were her particular favorites: The Birdcage, Beverly Hills Cop, As Good As It Gets, Moonstruck, Grumpy Old Men, and Brighton Beach Memoirs.

Mom could stitch up a hem or sew on a button in a flash. If you needed clothing fixed, you went to Mom.
Reading the New York Daily News everyday was a must for Mom as was doing the Jumble. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and she lovingly crocheted baby blankets for a maternity home for girls.

She loved to watch the birds at the feeders. She had pets, too-a pair of Betta fish. Elephants were her favorite animals and she had quite an assortment of elephant collectibles around her house. But she had a special love of Katie who was her good buddy and most faithful companion. Katie seemed to know instinctively that Mom needed extra looking after in recent months and she was constantly at her side.

Mom loved coffee, Cosmos, and champagne, not necessarily in that order! Casinos were an especially favorite place for Mom. She was in her element! She could work a slot machine like a pro and loved it when she got the bonus round!
Mom's skill at playing poker was beyond compare and she would win on a regular basis.
Mom's cookies and brownies were delicious as were her pierogies.

Mom attended the four o'clock Mass each week at St. Louis Church. It meant a lot to her to be there. It also meant that she would be going to dinner afterwards with Cathy and Jeff at one of her favorite restaurants such as The Greystone Grill, Anthony's, El Azteca, or, her special place, the Double T Diner! She really enjoyed that!

Did you ever notice how good a listener Mom was? She rejoiced at our happiness, understood our trials, encouraged us when life was difficult, mourned our losses, and just listened when we had nothing more to say than hi! She always loved hearing from her children and grandchildren whether we had a lot or a little to say. Just hearing our voices meant the world to her.
Mom's faith was a source of great comfort and strength for her. She began each day by saying the Rosary and ended each night with a prayer.

Above all, Mom loved Dad and her family. She was a great friend to many and a wonderful, caring, and loving Mother and Grandmother to us. She was a blessing to us all throughout our lives. We will miss her very much. We thank you, Mom, for all that you did for us. We will pray for you always and you will remain in our hearts forever. We know you will watch over us from Heaven and we look forward to seeing you there when our time comes to join you.

A million hugs and kisses-
Your children and grandchildren
