Anna Mae Moore Mintz, 85, of Wilmington, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
Anna was born on August 24, 1929 in Wilmington, NC daughter of the late Julius and Agnes deNicola Moore. Anna is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Julius Moore and Gilbert "Buddy" Moore and her sister, Dolores McGee.
Anna was the owner and operator of Anna Mintz Accounting for 58 years. She was a long time member of Sunset Park Baptist Church where she used her talents as their treasurer for 30 years, and volunteered as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. Anna loved music and played the piano. She loved animals and was often found in her yard feeding and watching the birds.
Anna is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joe Mintz; son, Kenneth Mintz; daughter, Cynthia Shepard; granddaughter, Anna Nicole Mintz; Great Grandson, Adrian Lewis McKeithan; Sisters: Edna Warner (John), Ina King and Regina McKeithan; brothers: Arthur Moore (Barbara) and Lloyd Moore (Margaret). Brother-in-law Tylon Mintz (JoAnn) and Sister-in-law Viola Shew as well as several nieces and nephews and her four legged friend and companion, Shawn, her dog.
Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Funeral Service will be held at 2pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service with Pastor Chris Wroten officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412. Anna's nephews will serve as Pall Bearers.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401. http://www.hospiceandlifecarecenter.org/
