Anne T. Cwynar of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully on April 13, 2013, two weeks after celebrating her 92nd birthday. Born in Scranton, PA to the late John and Mary (Wienckowski / Vancosky) Miegoc, Anne graduated from Central High School, later attending a local business school. In 1943 she married John Walter Cwynar. They had two children, Donald and JoAnne.

In 1963, Anne and her family moved to Hazleton, PA. There she added to her role of housewife and mother, providing overnight care and comfort to residents as a practical nurse at the Swankoski Nursing Home in Drums, PA. Anne also worked in retail sales at Fowler Dick and Walker - The Boston Store - at the Laurel Mall in Hazleton. After relocating to Lancaster, PA in 1977, she embarked on what would become a lengthy career with J. C. Penney, later working for the retailer in St. Petersburg, FL; Media, PA and Orlando, FL, retiring from the Florida Mall store in Orlando after a tenure of 27-years.

Over her lifetime, Anne was an impeccable housekeeper and provider. Her home was always neat, tidy and organized and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking homemade specialties for her family. A dear friend of her daughter once remarked how she thought Anne was a 'gourmet cook' when she was invited for dinner and meatloaf with a peeled hard-boiled egg embedded in the middle was served! When Anne first learned to drive, as she approached an icy intersection with children in the crosswalk, another vehicle making a turn skidded and was headed toward the children. She pulled forward and the approaching vehicle ran into her car instead of the children, saving them from injury. Simplicity and humility will be Anne's greatest legacy.

In addition to her husband of 26-years, Anne was predeceased by siblings Joseph J. Miegoc, Lydia M. Balses and Sister Mary Idalia. She is survived by her son Donald T. and wife Patricia A. Cwynar of Sinking Spring, PA, daughter JoAnne M. and husband Robert G. Carpenter of Orlando FL, grandsons Michael J. and wife Jolyn R. Cwynar of Telford, PA and Kevin J. and wife Jennifer A. Cwynar of Clermont, FL, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private graveside service at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery when arrangements can be made for her return to Scranton, PA.

While she will be greatly missed by her family, please rejoice in Anne's life, her contributions and how she touched others in her 92-years. Please share your own memories, thoughts and prayers in the on-line guest book. In addition, mail for the family can be sent in care of Family Funeral Care; 13001 S. John Young Parkway; Orlando, FL 32837. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Anne's honor to the charity of your choice.
