It's so sad. I went to school with Ann--grade school and high school. I moved away in 1969 and thought her when ever I looked at the old school photographs. My favorite is the 1949 picture of Mrs. Pools class: 20 people, most of whom I remember fondly, grades 1 - 3. There Ann is looking out me through the camera from her spot on the left end of the first row--looking very sweet. And there, four people to her left, is little old me looking somewhat befuddled.
Flash forward 63 years to our 50th LGS alumni reunion. Ann was not well enough to join us on the float, so the float was taken to her facility where she was convalescing. She came out on the porch to greet us, and there she was with the same sweet look. The main difference-other than gray hair-was the fact that we were strangers. It was like waving at a very old memory. I wish I had gotten of the float and said, "Hi, I'm Bruce." We would have still been strangers, but it might have left a small blip on our radar screens. And perhaps I would not have quite so empty a spot where where her memory resides.
My deepest sympathy to those of her family and friends who stayed in touch with her.

It is with great sadness that I mourn the loss of Anne along with the rest of the Family. She was my first friend and neighbor when I moved to Newfane and what a great friend she was and a kind and gifted person. Not only was she a friend but then became part of my family when I married Donny. She will be greatly missed.
