Elizabeth Anne Dodds Friddle, age 88, of Hoover, died Friday, April 12, 2013. She was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church, the Opportunity Sunday School Class, Bluff Park United Methodist Women, and the Do-Nothing Club. Funeral services will be Monday, April 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM from Elmwood Mausoleum Chapel with burial in Elmwood Mausoleum. Rev. Reid Crotty will officiate. Family will receive friends two hours prior to services at Elmwood Chapel. Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Josephus Clay Friddle, Jr.; her mother, Annie C. Dodds; her father, James E. Dodds, Sr.; her brother, James E. Dodds, Jr.; sister, Helen D. Blankenship. She is survived by two sons, Joe C. Friddle, III (Debra) of Killeen, TX and Dr. David W. Friddle (Cory) of Brierfield, Al; 4 grandchildren; Lori L. Friddle and Kelli A. Friddle, both of Killeen, TX; Jonathan M. Friddle (Trish) and Sarah F. Thomasson (Drew), both of Hoover, AL; 4 great grandsons and 4 great granddaughters; sister-in-law, Frances Friddle Sorenson of Stillwater, OK; 4 nieces and 5 nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Bluff Park Methodist Church Building Fund.
