Anne Pearson Ross
Mrs. Ross, 69, of Emerald Isle, NC and Charlotte, NC, passed away on February 10, 2013 at her home in Charlotte. She was born on March 17, 1943 in Wilmington, DE, a daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Clark Pearson.
Anne Pearson Ross received degrees in Art and Education from the University of Delaware and East Carolina University. In 1964 she married Tom Ross and they moved to Kinston, NC. Anne was an art teacher at Kinston High School (15 years) and at Coastal Carolina Community College (4 years). She was an artist, active volunteer in her community and a member of the Carolina Artist Studio Gallery in Morehead City. Anne and Tom retired in Emerald Isle, NC where she enjoyed to paint, sail, bike and travel. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Anne Ross is survived by husband of 48 years, Thomas Ross; four children, Andrew Ross, Lauren Bowley, Katherine Catron, all of Charlotte, NC; and Sarah Ross of Chicago, IL; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11am on March 4th at St. Mildred Catholic Church, 653 Old Hammock Rd., Swansboro, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the family's home. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204.

Thank you to all who have given best wishes and prayers. Mom was a strong and vibrant woman and will be missed by family and friends. She is in a better place where she can once again teach, paint and plant flowers. God bless you Mom...miss you.

Mrs. Ross was my art teacher at KHS as well as my mother's neighbor at EI back in the late 1980s. She was so kind to my mother while my mother was was sick with cancer. Please know I will be keeping you close in thought and prayer.

My two oldest children still vividly remember the day Mrs Ross invited them over for an "art day" at your house in EI 8 years ago. Even today they talk about how much fun Mrs Ross and that day was. They still have a keen interest in and love of art.
