Anne White Sanders, 77, of New Bern, passed away peacefully July 1, 2013 at home after a short battle with cancer.
She worked for 25 years as a unit secretary at Carolina East Medical Center until her retirement at age 70. She was a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star. Her interests include reading,facebook,games,puzzles and her kitten "babies." Her life centered around her family and we have many precious memories of good times together. She was adored greatly by all of her family and friends. Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Rufus B. Sanders, and her parents, David Horace White and Ethel O'Quinn Lee, her brother Richard White and sister Carol Radford.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Wethington of New Bern; one son, Allen Edwards and wife Ramona of Vanceboro; one brother, Douglas White and wife Pat of Hookerton; two sisters, Patsy Thompson and husband Bobby of Kinston; Fay Clark of Newport; her grandchildren, Mandi Earehart, Buddy Wethington and wife Christina, Galen Wethington and wife Meg, Brian Edwards and wife Debi and Kyle Edwards, and her great grandchildren, Hailey Earehart, Clark Christmas, Derek Earehart, Alex Wethington, and Zach Edwards.
Services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
