Obituary

Rebecca Anne Stuart, 80, joined her Lord on Tuesday, May 25. Known to all as Anne, and in some cases Nurse Anne. She was born in Covington, GA at home on December 15, 1933 to her parents Noah Hinton and Florence Johnson Hinton. She attended public school in Newton County before moving on to Piedmont Nursing School. It was here that she met the love of her life, Allan Stuart, who was attending Emory School of Theology. They married in 1953 and moved to Florida where she began her nursing career as well as her role as the Methodist Minister's wife. They married in 1953 and moved to Florida where she began her nursing career as well as her role as the Methodist Minister's wife. They welcomed their daughter Becky in 1954 and then their son, John in 1955! Methodist congregations in Newberry, Tice, Avon Park, Alachua, Stuart and Dunedin, Florida were blessed to have this dedicated and loving family to lead them. In 1982, Anne and her husband Pastor Allan Stuart along with a small group of faithful servants founded North Bay Community Church. Anne had a servant's heart. She loved to laugh. She loved to sing - especially in the church choir. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved unconditionally and had an unwavering faith in her Lord. We were enormously blessed to have her as our mom, our grandma and great grandma. We cherish our memories and will miss her always. Anne is predeceased by her father, Noah, her mother Florence (Flo), and her husband Dr. Allan R. Stuart. Anne is survived by her son, John R. Stuart and his wife, Elaine Stuart, her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Stuart, her first grandchild, Susanne Ryckman and her husband Michael Ryckman, her second grandchild, Jamie Stuart Hurst and her husband Gavin Hurst and her third grandchild, Laura Stuart. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Ellen Elizabeth Ryckman(4 years) and Noah Harrison Hurst (8 weeks). Anne will remain in our hearts and will continue to inspire us to be God's servants as she so exemplified...
