Annette White Behnke went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 24, 2016, Thanksgiving Day four days shy of her 94 birthday.
Born on November 28, 1922 she was a daughter of the late George Henry and Genevieve Raabe White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Edwin.
Annette is survived by her daughters Eileen Page and Kathleen Lambert who she lived with during her later years; sons, Edwin Behnke, Jr. and his wife Heidi and Mark Behnke; grandchildren, Jason, Alyson, Valerie, Jennifer, Matthew, and Casey; and great grandchildren, Bryson, Savannah, Logan, Aiden, Connor, Carter, and Tyler. She will also be sorely missed by a host of other relatives and friends.
Even in her later years Annette enjoyed her relationship with God through his Word, putting together 1000 piece puzzles, playing gin rummy, and watching the “tele.” She enjoyed a quality of life that pleased her and her family.
A celebration of Annette’s life will be conducted 11:00am Monday, November 28, 2016 at South Plains Presbyterian Church in Keswick with Pastor Kevin Channel officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00pm Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Teague Funeral Home.
Those desiring to make a memorial contribution in Annette’s name may do so in her memory to South Plains Presbyterian Church, 410 Black Cat Rd, Keswick, VA 22947.
