Annie Pearl Counselman, 98, of Coffeeville, passed away May 11, 2017 at a family residence in Jackson. She was born September 11, 1918 to John and Addie Mauldin. Her many hobbies included cooking, sewing, crocheting and tending her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was most happy when the house was full with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Coffeeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice Counselman; children Carolyn (John) Rockwell, Dan (Marion) Counselman and sister, Erlee Webb.
She is survived by her children, Johnny (Pat) Counselman, Benny (Delores) Counselman, Ray (Joyce) Counselman, Linda (David) McLean, Kenny (Sandra) Counselman, Jerry (Sally) Counselman, Rickey (Candy) Counselman, Thomas (Gina) Counselman; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren as well as many other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Revs. Warren Shewmake and David Webb officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Peniel Baptist Church with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Members of Bethel Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.
