Obituary

Anselmo Zuniga passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 18, 2012, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. His wife and children were close-by. He was 84 years old. Anselmo was born on April 21, 1928, in San Antonio TX, the youngest of nine children. He and his wife of 60 years, Beatrice, met as teenagers in 1943 working at a hotel where he was a bus boy and she was an elevator girl. Anselmo proudly served two tours of duty in the United States Navy. He and Beatrice married on September 25, 1951. In 1957, they moved their young family to Los Angeles, CA. They settled in their current home, located in Huntington Beach, CA...

Anselmo was born on April 21, 1928, in San Antonio TX, the youngest of nine children. He and his wife of 60 years, Beatrice, met as teenagers in 1943 working at a hotel where he was a bus boy and she was an elevator girl. Anselmo proudly served two tours of duty in the United States Navy. He and Beatrice married on September 25, 1951. In 1957, they moved their young family to Los Angeles, CA. They settled in their current home, located in Huntington Beach, CA in 1962. He worked for Laura Scudder's for 29 years. Anselmo loved to watch all sports but his favorite was Dodgers baseball.
Anselmo is survived by his wife, Beatrice and their three children: Beatrice Foley; Tim Zuniga (Martha); and Maria Armstrong (Brian). He is also survived by four grandchildren: Randy and Amber Zuniga; and, Paul and Robert Armstrong.
A service is planned for Saturday June 23rd, 12 Noon, at Westminster Memorial Park Chapel, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA, 92683.
