Anthony E. Barton of Yonkers died on Monday, November 25, 2013 at age 88. Born on August 3, 1925 to Anthony and Stella; he graduated from Saunders High School. Mr. Barton was a Yonkers Police officer for over twenty years, he then worked as Director of Business for the Y.M.C.A. Anthony was a World War II Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post # 1122, a member of the Scarsdale Elks # 2056. Served as Commissioner of Human Rights Community for the City of Yonkers and was involved with the PAL. He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years Irene (Balischak) Barton, his two sons Bruce (Jacqueline) and Richard (Joyce) and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three siblings. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday only from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church on Friday, November 29th at 10:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
