Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Antonia T. Aitken, will be held at 12:00pm, noon Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Officiating will be Monsignor Earl Provenza. Family will receive friends prior to service at 10:00am Saturday, September 24, 2011.

Antonia was born May 4, 1939 in Guagua, Philippines. She was granted her wings on September 19, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, Prudencio Tagle, mother, Julia Basco and grandson, Jeremy Tagle. She is survived by three sisters, Evelyn T. Ocampo , Norma Patinio and Lolita Lee , her sons, Ernesto Tagle and wife Carrie, Richard Tagle, Robert Aitken and wife Lana, James Aitken and wife Cathy; daughters, Judy Williams and husband Jay, and Maggie Aitken Mixon; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Antonia was a very loving woman. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and helping others feel welcome. She was a very giving person and loved to cook for anyone who wanted an authentic Filipino meal. She will be greatly missed but there are many funny stories to carry on her memory.

Special thanks to all the doctors and medical staff that cared for and loved Antonia during her courageous battles of illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the donor's choice.

Words of condolences may be shared at www.hillcrestmemorialfh.com.
