Arby Eugene Wright, Sr., 83, of East Ridge died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home. He was born November 12, 1930 in Soddy Daisy to the late Tilford Wright, Sr. and Pearl Sims Wright. Mr. Wright was a U S Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was very devoted to his family; he enjoyed spending time with them and tinkering with cars. Mr. Wright retired from Dixie Savings Stores after 48 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Bertha Wright; children Arby (Ellen) Wright, Jr., Chattanooga, Vera McKnight, East Ridge, Gilbert Wright, Rossville, Robert (Marie) Wright, Chattanooga, James (Juanita) Wright,...
Arby Eugene Wright, Sr., 83, of East Ridge died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home. He was born November 12, 1930 in Soddy Daisy to the late Tilford Wright, Sr. and Pearl Sims Wright. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Bertha Wright; children Arby (Ellen) Wright, Jr., Chattanooga, Vera McKnight, East Ridge, Gilbert Wright, Rossville, Robert (Marie) Wright, Chattanooga, James (Juanita) Wright, East Ridge and Gregory (Barbara) Wright, Rossville; brother Leon Wright, North Carolina; sister Jenny Crane, Orlando, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4 at 1:00 pm in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-8 Tuesday evening.
