In 1970 and through the following years, they were transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma, then Houston and eventually back to Austin. While in Houston she began working for Safeway Stores, continuing her work in Austin and eventually retiring there.

Working in many county elections was a job that Arina really enjoyed. She was proud to be part of a precious American privilege. She joined The Treasure of the Hills Senior Center in Cedar Park in 1990, worked on various committees and volunteered as a receptionist on Wednesday mornings for 15 years. Arina appreciated and loved her friends at TOTH. She also enjoyed working in her yard and loved doing crafts.
