Lacassine- Arlen Keith Ardoin, 63, of Lacassine, LA passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Ardoin was born on June 29, 1949 in Welsh, LA and had lived in Lacassine for the past 41 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Welsh High School. He worked in farming and sugar cane, rice and soy bean all of his life. He loved to hunt and fish and lived off the fat of the land. He also loved his pigeons. Mr. Ardoin was a member of St. John Vianney of Bell City, LA. Lacassine- Arlen Keith Ardoin, 63, of Lacassine, LA passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Mr. Ardoin was born on June 29, 1949 in Welsh, LA and had lived in Lacassine for the past 41 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Welsh High School.
He worked in farming and sugar cane, rice and soy bean all of his life. He loved to hunt and fish and lived off the fat of the land. He also loved his pigeons.
Mr. Ardoin was a member of St. John Vianney of Bell City, LA.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Juanita LeDoux Ardoin of Lacassine; one daughter, Selena Henderson of Welsh; two sons, Daniel (Stephanie) Ardoin of Green Briar AR, and Skipper Ardoin of Fenton, LA; his mother, Odile Ardoin of Ardoin Cove; two brothers, Billy (Charlotte) Ardoin of Lacassine, Patrick(Angie) Ardoin of Jennings, LA; one sister, Betty(Bill) LaBouve of Ardoin cove; seven grandchildren, Daven and Karley Henderson of Welsh, Abby and Tabby Ardoin of Green Briar, AR, Hallie Davis of Welsh and Kennedie and Ziggy Ardoin of Welsh; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julian Ardoin and his brother, J.R. Ardoin and his great nephew, Carter LaBouve.
His funeral service will be held at 11am, Thursday at St. John Vianny in Bell City. The Rev. Emanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will follow in Ardoin Cove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, 11am-9pm with a rosary at 7pm and resume Thursday 8am until service time. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
