Obituary

Arthur "Art" Blakeman went to his Lord on July 5, 2013. He was born in Alton Station, KY on October 25, 1926 to Roy E. Blakeman and Mittie E. Brumley. Art served in the United States Army, retiring as a Major. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, a life member of the VFW and volunteered for over 1000 hours at SAMMC.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Doris and 3 brothers. He is survived by his son and daughter, 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 13888 Dreamwood, 78233, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to King of Kings Lutheran Church.
