Arthur Causey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 27, 2015.

Arthur John Causey, Jr., 54, of Princeton, TX peacefully left this earth on March 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by family.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Frank of Hartsdale, NY, daughter Brittany Derebery and her husband Daniel of Pottsboro, TX, daughter Lisa Causey and her fiancé Blake Bauman of Dallas, TX, daughter Kara Causey and her boyfriend Thomas Wynne of Dallas, TX, sisters Nancy Fountain of Hopewell Junction, NY and Judy Deems of Frisco, TX, brother Robert (Bobby) Causey of Dallas, TX, Debbie Causey of Plano, TX, brother-in-law Mike Deems of Bethel, CT, aunt Cathy Long of Hawthorne, NY, and beloved dogs, Sugar, Hailey, Brock and Abby. Artie is also survived by his many nieces and nephews: Michael Deems and his wife Amanda of Jacksonville, FL and their children Little Michael and Averie; Theresa Deems, her husband Keith and their beautiful daughters Aubrey and Braelynn of Hopewell Junction, NY, Matthew (Matty) Deems and his girlfriend Megan Civitano of Frisco, TX, Brad Fountain of Albany, NY, Jay Fountain of Albany, NY, Kim Fountain and Stephanie Fountain, of Hopewell NY. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur John Causey, Sr. (Papa Butchie).

Artie graduated in 1978 from Horace Greeley High school in Chappaqua, NY. He achieved his life-long dream of opening his own shop, Artie's Auto. He always had a big smile and his infectious personality which allowed all of his customers and anyone he met to quickly become close friends. Artie was the happiest when spending time with his three daughters, fishing, working on cars and trucks, and playing with Sugar, his miniature schnauzer. He was a strong, loving man who worked hard to make others happy every single day, whether it was cooking delicious meals, working on a vehicle, or fishing with his very dear friends.

Artie is not gone, he's just gone fishing.
