Dad was born in Mexico City to the late Monroe and Carmen Bornn. At the age of 8, he moved to New York and resided in Brooklyn until he joined the Army Air Corps. His grandchildren loved listening to his stories about baseball during this time and his passion for the New York Yankees. Art spent more than 25 years of his life serving his country. A career military flight engineer, he served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
