NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday May 10, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home for Arthur Allen Brady, Sr., age 88, with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post #1982. Visiting hours will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm, and continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until time of service. Visiting hours will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm, and continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until time of service.

Mr. Brady, a native of White Castle and longtime resident of New Iberia. Mr. Brady passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at St. Martinville Nursing Home.

Mr. Brady graduated from St. Martinville High School and attended Southwestern Louisiana Institute (U.L.L.). He was a veteran of the US Army who served his country honorably during WWII, and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He was previously employed in the petroleum industry and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

He will be missed by his brother, William Adrian Brady, III and sister, Beverly Brady both of St. Martinville; nephew, George W. Resweber and wife Judy of St. Martinville; and dearest friend, Claudia G. Fuselier of St. Martinville.

Proceeding Mr. Brady in death were his wife, Ruby Prioux Brady; son, Arthur A. Brady, Jr.; sisters, Janice B. Resweber and Gloria A. Brady; and brother, James H. Brady.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Martinville Rehab and Nursing Center for excellent care given to Mr. Brady.
