Arthur D. Hunsinger went to be with The Lord on July 27, 2013 under the watchful eyes of his loving family and hospice. He married the love of his life, Beth Ray in Comyn, Texas on July 13, 1945. They shared their 68th wedding anniversary this past July 13, 2013.
Arthur served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was stationed in the Philippians, Guam and Saipan. For his services, he received the American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Medal, and the Victory Medal.
Arthur followed carpentry and masonry work most of his life. He then began teaching for MISD in 1970 until he retired. He has a Life Membership of Texas PTA, VFW post #7208 and a Master Mason with the Acacia Masonic Lodge. Arthur is a Baptist Deacon and has served as an Adult Sunday School teacher, Song Leader and RA Leader. He is currently a member of the Bellview Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
He is survived by wife, Beth; his three children, Arthur Ray Hunsinger and wife Donna Sue of Atlanta, Georgia, Margaret Cheatham of Midland, Texas, and Debbie May and husband Jay May of Midland, Texas. Also left to cherish his memory are 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and 2 half brothers, Henry Hunsinger and Jimmy Fann.
Family will receive friends and family Monday July 29, 2013 at Ellis Funeral Home between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday July 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Bellview Baptist Church, Myron Unruh officiating, with internment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may directed to Bellview Baptist Church Benevolence or Library Funds.
